The new app left e-subscribers using the odd app in the lurch - the subscription under the same iTunes account did not transfer to the new app. Horribly thought out - one has to wonder what the publisher is thinking.
It appears that the app does not recognize existing subscriptions and forces you to subscribe again. Another $20... I dont think so. How do I get an 11 month refund for the old subscription?? 6/27 UPDATE: BNP has been unresponsive and can only say that they have no record of the subscription. My iTunes receipt doesnt seem to make a difference. No response on a refund. 6/28 UPDATE: Still no response from BNP or confirmation of the issue everyone is reporting.
App does not work and they will not refund the subscription. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!
There was no need to make a new app. Why they couldnt just update their old one shows just how out of touch they are with technology. iTunes should take this app off iTunes until it can recognize subscriptions.
Its worst!!! STILL DOES NOT WORK. The downloading is extremely slow and progressive while viewing the magazine per page, no background downloading and no landscape viewing (which is silly). A 150 year old publication should be cutting edge and innovative. The email news letter is more interesting and easier to manage than this app, plus the magazine link given there in the email magazine notification actually works! Should work like contract magazines app does!!! BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD ... AGAIN.
